For recording, I use Hypercam 2, Hypercam 3, or hell, even Fraps.

For editing I would recommend getting Camtasia studio, Adobe Premiere, hell, even Movie Maker does a decent job.
The only thing about Camtasia and Premiere is that they cost a whopping 400$, so I'm not telling you to crack them, but I'm insisting you don't waste big money on it.

I used premiere for the last upload (Halo) and my elgato and it worked perfectly!

iMovie's a pretty good iOS app or editing.

I used iMovie for my Calisthenics video.

Yeah I like it a lot. But I only use it when I record clips for my calisthenic videos
