Lately I made a video addressing this and how it can potentially detriment your channel growth. I looked up alot of videos explaining how having inactive subs from doing sub4sub or using any app that gets you "free subscribers" can cause the YouTube algorithm to make your content more difficult to be discovered because the subscriber count would be unbalanced with the views that your videos would actually have.
Here is my take on it:
Basically I made this mistake as well, and I honestly thought that this app could actually promote my channel and its content. So yes, my channel shot from 14 subs to about 52, and it could've went higher if I hadn't stopped using the app, which I did when I discovered that it was bad for my channel. I just hope that any new youtubers like me who started out can consider these facts and consider what other youtubers have said on this too.
So good luck to anyone out there making content, and feel free to post questions if you have any. Otherwise, thanks for your time. I hope you guys got some good info out of this!
